How to Download Twitter Videos
Downloading a Twitter/X video is straightforward when the post is public and the media is still available, but small details often decide whether a download succeeds. This guide explains the exact steps, what to check before you paste a link, and how to avoid the most common mistakes.
Before You Start
Make sure the post you want to save is:
- Publicly visible without special account access
- Still live on Twitter/X
- A direct post URL rather than a profile or search page
- Media you are allowed to save for personal or otherwise permitted use
1. Find the Twitter/X Video You Want
Browse Twitter/X and find the post containing the video you want to download.
Valid link example:

The most reliable input is the URL of the specific post, not a profile link or a copied text snippet.
2. Copy the Tweet URL Correctly
Web Browser Method
Copy the URL from the browser address bar or use the built-in share menu and choose Copy link.
Mobile App Method
Tap the share button to open the options menu.
Then tap Copy link to get the tweet URL.

- Does not point to a private or protected account
3. Paste the URL Into the Downloader
Go back to our homepage and paste the copied URL into the search box. If the tool rejects the URL, remove extra parameters and try the plain post URL again.
